Terms of Service

1. Agreement to terms

By accessing or using Lanndd (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Lanndd is operated from Australia and intended primarily for newcomers settling in Australia.

2. Description of the Service

Lanndd is a personalised settlement companion that provides:

  • A visa-aware settlement checklist with personalised task recommendations
  • Job navigator with work rights information by visa type
  • Finance hub with remittance rate comparison and rate alerts
  • Health guide with Medicare/OSHC information and GP finder
  • Jargon buster for Australian terminology
  • AI CV Builder (paid feature) for generating Australian-format resumes

3. Account registration

To use Lanndd, you must create an account using your email address, Google, or Apple sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

You must provide accurate information during registration and onboarding. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

4. Free and paid features

Most of Lanndd is free to use, including the settlement checklist, job navigator, finance hub, health guide, and jargon buster.

The AI CV Builder is a paid feature available on a pay-per-use basis. Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.

Each CV generation is a one-time purchase. Once generated, you can download your CV as a PDF. Generated CVs are stored for 90 days.

5. Refund policy

If the AI CV Builder produces an output that is materially defective (e.g., blank, garbled, or completely unrelated to your input), you may request a refund within 7 days of purchase by contacting support@lanndd.com.

We cannot offer refunds for subjective dissatisfaction with AI-generated content, as the output varies based on the information you provide.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Australian law
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Use the AI CV Builder to generate content that is intentionally deceptive or misrepresents your qualifications

7. Information accuracy

Lanndd provides general settlement guidance and is not a substitute for professional legal, financial, medical, or immigration advice.

  • Visa information — we provide general work-rights guidance by visa type. Always verify with the Department of Home Affairs for definitive visa conditions.
  • Remittance rates — rates are cached from third-party providers and may not reflect real-time pricing. Always confirm the final rate with your chosen provider before transferring money.
  • Health information — GP Finder results come from Google Places and may not be current. Medicare and OSHC guidance is general in nature.
  • AI-generated content — CV Builder output is AI-generated and should be reviewed and edited by you before use.

8. Intellectual property

The Lanndd name, logo, design, and original content are the property of Lanndd. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our branding or content without written permission.

Content you create using the AI CV Builder belongs to you. You grant us a limited licence to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

9. Third-party services

Lanndd integrates with third-party services including Google (authentication and Places API), Stripe (payments), Wise (rate data), and AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

Lanndd may include links to external websites (government services, job boards, financial providers). We are not responsible for the content or availability of these external sites.

10. Account termination

You may delete your account at any time from your settings page. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the Service. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Lanndd is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information provided is complete or accurate.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New South Wales, Australia.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the website. Your continued use of Lanndd after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
